Dental Implants in Tijuana

A dental implant is designed to provide a foundation for a replacement tooth that looks, feels and functions like a natural tooth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. The implants are tiny titanium posts, which are placed into the jaw bone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition, dental implants can help preserve your facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.

Evaluation For A Dental Implant in Tijuana

If, like many others, you feel implant dentistry is the choice for you, we ask that you undergo a dental/radiographic examination and health history. During these consultation visits, your specific needs and considerations will be addressed by either Dr. Trejo or by an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon referred by our practice. Your questions and concerns are important to us and our team will work with you very closely to help make your procedure a success.

Dental Implant Procedure

Dental implants are metal anchors, which act as tooth root substitutes. They are surgically placed into the jaw bone. Small posts are then attached to the implant, which protrude through the gums. These posts provide stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth.

For most patients, the placement of dental implants involves two surgical procedures. First, dental implants are placed within your jaw bone. For the first three to six months following surgery, the implants are beneath the surface of the gums, gradually bonding with the jaw bone. You should be able to wear temporary dentures and eat a soft diet during this time. At the same time, your restorative dentist designs the final bridgework or denture, which will ultimately improve both function and aesthetics.

After the dental implant has bonded to the jaw bone, the second phase begins. The surgeon will uncover the implants and attach a small healing collar. Dr. Trejo can then start making your new teeth. An impression must be taken. Then posts or attachments can be connected to the implants. The replacement teeth are then made over the posts or attachments. The entire procedure usually takes six to eight months. Most patients do not experience any disruption in their daily life.

5 stars is not enough for the work done by the team at BioDental Care. I was suffering from autoimmune issues and decided it was time to get my metal mercury fillings removed and replaced. It's so... important when doing so to have them removed properly. I went with BioDental Care because they take the right measures in removing these fillings. My first visit I was very nervous as I usually am when going to the dentist, but the atmosphere at BioDental Care really put me at ease. Dr. Trejo, Carmen, Antonio, and the rest of the team are so kind and wonderful. Also, I need to mention the look of the work they did is fantastic. I went to the doctor recently and when she checked my throat she complimented my teeth! If I ever need major dental work again I will not hesitate to reach out to them. I am so thankful for the work they do.read more

When I found that I was in need of extensive dental care, my friend suggested I go to Mexico to save money. That suggestion resulted in an extensive internet search of Tijuana dentists. Dr.... Trejo’s credentials were pretty impressive and fit what I needed to have done. When I contacted the office Tony was very helpful in addressing all my questions. His English is excellent, and he was able to accurately explain what dental procedures I likely needed, the cost and what to expect and why. \In choosing a dental clinic, I had several factors that were important to me: My safety while in Tijuana was at the top of the list. Also, I did not want my health to be effected from mercury removal and chemicals so the fact that this is a holistic dentistry was a good fit. The price quote I was given prior to my coming was accurate and true to the actual cost. My friend was right, in comparison to US costs, I saved a significant amount of money. My initial concerns for my safety were quickly dispelled. The district the clinic is clean, and well maintained. The shuttle that people usually use to get to and from the clinic was shut down due to Covid, so Tony arranged the most attentive, delightful driver who drove me back and forth from the USA. Of note here is that the border waits were a bit long so if that matters take Tony’s suggestion and stay at the new, very nice, safe hotel that is just a block from the clinic. Before my arrival, I had apprehensions as to whether the glowing on-line reviews were honest, and about what the cleanliness of the clinic would be, and if I would be safe. I had a Hollywood version of what Tijuana would be like. Those concerns were quickly dispelled. Now, after returning home and re-reading the reviews, I am in total agreement with the praises that are lavished upon them. The words used in other‘ s reviews give an accurate description : Precise, qualified, meticulous, competent, perfectionist, accommodating, attentive to one’s needs, and truly caring, In addition, as a RN infection control instructor, I found them to be very clean and I did not see one breach in aseptic techniques. The team work was also remarkable, all of the staff know and do their jobs well, and are fully client and service centered. I was fortunate to also have Dr. Alma Barron Plata work on me. She is truly an angel in disguise as she is highly technically competent and attentive to detail, all while being gentle, kind, and caring. If I had only one word to describe their care and the dental work I received it would be--Outstanding. Excellent could also be used. I am thankful.read more

These guys literarily gave me back my life... they are amazing at what they do!! For 6 years I battled with dental problems, and now I regret not knowing them sooner, because I’m pretty certain I... would have saved a lot of money, time and even some tooth extractions. Before meeting the people of Biodental care, my dental problems had caused me systemic medical problems to where other dentists, (like Dr Edgar of Bioimplant center), had made several costly mistakes, to where I continued going back to them for repeated surgeries which they’d still charge me for. It costed me a lot of money, time, pain and inconvenience. Biodental care, is different. They have so far made my dental experience in Tijuana a wonderful experience. I have never had to return to correct a mistake, one touch and that’s it! Like wow! I’m telling you, the Drs here are highly knowledgeable! This clinic repaired the mess that Dr Edgar of Bioimplant center did to my mouth!I am so glad I found this place.. they are very thorough in their work. The rooms are super clean, and the Drs are super kind. My health has since improved tremendously, and I can’t be happier. I’m keeping this Dr!read more
